About us

- We publish in the social and mental health sciences for professionals and general readers and have a market leading portfolio of books on the autism spectrum. More recently we’ve broken new ground with our publishing in gender diversity and Chinese medicine under the Singing Dragon imprint
- We’re based in London with an office in Philadelphia and are part of the John Murray Press division of Hachette Group.

Do you have…

- At least 12 months’ experience in selling foreign rights
- Impressive interpersonal and negotiation skills that will help you communicate effectively with a wide range of customers and in-house colleagues
- A commercial mindset so that you can strategically prioritise leads that will most benefit the business
- An ambitious drive to beat revenue targets
- A good instinct for spotting new opportunities and a proactive and determined nature to follow up on leads
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in one or more foreign languages?

Your new role

- Will give you ownership of selling rights worldwide, directly and via-sub-agents, for the JKP and Singing Dragon lists
- Encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including identifying new markets, attending major international booksfairs, creating sales materials, drafting contracts and management of the rights database
- Will enable you to develop and nurture good relationships with customers from around the world, creating interest and excitement for our products in new territories
- Gives you the opportunity to influence new product development and ensure projects are shaped to maximise rights potential
- Will allow you to take up the training and networking opportunities offered by Hachette UK.
